For gripping, aligning and instalation work and for cutting
Knipex primarily manufactures the forged and oil-hardened snipe nose side cutting pliers for gripping, alignment and instalation work. They deliver a second function in these areas that is important for assembly work. Their cutting edges are shaped to produce a bite type cut. The cutters are additionally induction hardened, so that the Knipex 26 12 200 is even suitable for cutting hard wire. Thanks to the induction hardening of the cutting edges to approx. 61 HRC, cutting capacities of up to 2.2 Ø mm are produced on hard wire.
Inherently stable when twisted – particularly strong when cutting
The precision tips of the pliers made of vanadium electric steel are elastic and stable when twisted. This allows the manual force deployed to be well measured – forcefully where necessary. The cutting edges are near the joint which is advantageous for the transmission of force. The cutting capacities of Ø 3.2 mm achieved for medium-hard wire and Ø 2.2 mm for hard wire are impressive for professional users.
It is possible to reach areas in engine or machine rooms that are difficult to access
The very long tips of the Knipex 26 12 200 make it possible to grip lowlying components accurately and powerfully. Anyone who needs to attach a refrigerant pipe to the air conditioning evapourator or connect a hose onto a difficult to reach nozzle will immediately appreciate the qualities of the snipe nose side cutting pliers.
Knipex quality – the snipe nose side cutting pliers
The snipe nose side cutting pliers from Knipex are a tool predominantly for assembly work in poorly accessible areas.
Those who use tools professionally every day expect a quality that permits simple and safe work and which lasts for many years of hard use.
We forge our tools from quality materials, machine them with great precision on up-to-date machinery, and harden them carefully using repeated heat treatment. Every pair of Knipex pliers represents more than 130 years of specialist know-how.
